John and I attended a Charity Event "The Holiday Affair" for 2009. We raised $5000 for Second Harvest. It is nice to get all dressed up to go to a worthy cause!
Lights, Camera, Action! We all decided to show up our acting talent. No wonder all the stars get paid so much. It is much harder than you think! We had a blast.
We had so much fun dressing up in costumes for Halloween this year. I am a lady bug, John is a boxer with a black eye, (we nicknamed him the Sandman) Mya is Tinkerbell, Hollie is Raspberry Shortcake, and Jessie is a Gossamer Ghost!
I was on the computer and heard a strange sound. When I went to investigate I saw that Mya had picked up Wyatt's food bowls and was playing a song. I caught just a tiny bit of the action before she got camera shy.
I got to see my little Molly this past weekend. She is such a cutie! I can't believe how fast she is growing. I think she is about ready to catch up with Mya! Such a blessing, pretty girl.
I might just be partial but don't you think that little Mya is beautiful? She is sure to be vain when she gets older as I keep telling her this! XOXOXO
My sister Amy and her husband Eric, welcomed their first child into the world May first! Molly Jane Zwayer was born at 8:27 a.m., weighing in at 9 lbs. 11 oz. and 22 inches long. Beautiful sweet girl! Now Mya has a little cousin to grow up with. Because Molly had some Jaundice when she was born, she has had an extended hospital stay. Hopefully she will go home today! We love you Zwayer family!
My sister Amy is due any day now. We are so excited for her. They have opted to keep the baby's gender a secret and so the suspense is intense. Little Mya is excited to be having a cousin soon. My parents are having their annual Kentucky Derby party the first weekend in May (this weekend). We hope Amy has had her baby by then. John is taking the car today to see if our good friend Brandon can fix the AC and we need to replace the tires. One is so thin you can see metal fibers sticking out of it. Keep Amy in your prayers!
One of our good friends got us some of the cutest baby clothes yesterday. Among them was this hat with the ear flaps. I thought it was the cutest thing! Do you agree?
Our little Mya is growing up so fast. Last night she learned how to roll over for the first time and now she won't stop! She is such a joy! The weather here is changing so fast. Last weekend we took her to the beach for the first time! She loved taking in all the new sights and sounds.
Over the holidays, I have misplaced my camera! EEEEK I will post an older picture for you of our pride and joy. It was great to show off Mya. Today she got her two month shots and I cried too! She really is such a good baby. She does not cry more than five minutes in a day. (except today) I like to dress her in pinks and yellows. She is so beautiful. Another interesting fact about her name...in case you did not put it together is the meaning behind it. Mya means "Mine" and Rae means "Sun Rays" so together she is "MY SUNSHINE!" So cute. We had so much fun celebrating Christmas with the family. I liked the sermon this past Sunday. It reminded us about the true reason for Christmas. It sounds cliche but Christianity means nothing if we don't recognize and acknowlege Jesus and his existence. Our pastor also said that there are many "so-called Christians" but few "Christ followers." It was very interesting. Hope all is well. ~Kati
